Welcome to Outreach

the place for widowers and caregivers

What is it?
This Outreach initiative is specifically designed for Middlesex Masons who are widowers or caregivers. It focuses on building a strong sense of community and companionship among members who may be experiencing loneliness or facing the unique challenges of caregiving. Through this program, we provide a platform for support, advice, and shared experiences, helping members navigate difficult times together.

Who is it for?
This program is dedicated to Middlesex Masons who are:
  • Widowers coping with the loss of a spouse or partner.
  • Middlesex Masons coping with the loss of a loved one or family member.
  • Caregivers providing ongoing support to loved ones.

Whether you are managing the responsibilities of caregiving or dealing with the emotions of loss, this initiative is here to support you.

If you have time to spare and would like to be part of the voluntary team, please get in touch with Laurence at 020 4577 1844 ext. 4 (Mon - Fri from 9am to 6pm).

Why is it important?
Widowers and caregivers often face feelings of isolation and unique challenges that can be overwhelming. The Outreach initiative aims to:
  • Foster a strong sense of community and belonging.
  • Provide emotional and practical support.
  • Offer a safe space to share experiences and advice.
  • Ensure that no member of the Middlesex family feels isolated or forgotten.
By participating, you also help us better understand your needs, enabling us to create meaningful activities and resources tailored to support you.

Examples of Support
  • Support Groups: Regular meetings, both in-person and virtual, to connect with others who understand your experiences.
  • Peer Mentoring: Pairing members for one-on-one support and companionship.
  • Workshops & Resources: Educational sessions on coping strategies, self-care, and caregiving best practices.
  • Social Events: Community gatherings and activities to build connections and foster friendships.
  • Advisory Assistance: Access to advice on practical caregiving challenges and resources for widowers.
Together, we can create a supportive environment where every member feels valued and connected.
